This interview is one in a series of interviews with Vietnam Veterans.
The interviewer is Laura Hollister, a Presbyterian minister who has worked as a VA Chaplain.
The purpose of this series is three fold:
1) To increase our awareness of the contribution of our service men and women and the significant price they pay.
2) To deepen our understanding of our current returning veterans as well as the veterans who have been a part of our lives for many years.
3) To encourage and challenge our thinking about war and the justifications for it.
I have the highest respect, regard, and admiration for the veterans who participated in these interviews. They shared their stories and their reflections to support other veterans in their struggles and to provide some depth and perspective from which we can relate to veterans in our lives.

This clip is from a 28 minute educational DVD of a presentation in May 2008 by Sami Rasouli regarding the "Surge" in Iraq. Sami as a US citizen and an Iraqi citizen travels to Iraq each year to visit family and friends. On returning to the US he speaks out against the US war in Iraq. Sami is the director of Muslim Peacemakers Team.
